I painted this painting maybe 20 years ago, and gave it to my mother. It has always hung as the anchor stone in her living room. Until recently, it survived a house fire. The entire house burned to a total loss, and very few things were able to be recovered. Amazingly, the painting sustained much smoke, heat and water damage, but the surface has been able to be restored. It has been such a pleasure to go back in time and visit that young painter that painted “Splasher”.
